As of March 1, 2026, sales tax will be applied to purchases if the address associated with your TuneCore account is located in New York. Sales tax will also be applied to purchases if the address associated with your TuneCore account has not been verified.

My address is not in New York, so why was I charged New York state sales tax?

If you do not have a New York address but were charged sales tax, it means your address has not been verified by our system. We encourage you to ensure your address information is accurate to avoid unnecessary tax charges!

How do I update/verify my address?

1. Log in to your TuneCore account
2. Navigate to 'Account Settings'
3. Click 'Edit' next to the Address section at the bottom of the page
4. Enter your address, re-enter your password, then click 'Save Changes'
