What are Artist Pitch Forms?
TuneCore Accelerator's Artist Pitch Forms use your submissions to identify artists for the TuneCore New Music Friday playlists, pitch new releases to DSP partners for their discovery playlists, and offer other exclusive promotional opportunities.
What are the account eligibility requirements for Artist Pitch Forms?
Artist Pitch Forms are currently available in the following territories:
- Australia
- Indonesia
- LATAM countries (Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Colombia)
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Thailand
- United Kingdom
- United States
Additional territories will be coming in the future. Stay tuned to this article for updates!
In addition to the location requirements, your account must be subscribed to a Professional Unlimited Plan and opted into TuneCore Accelerator.
How do I pitch my release?
Your release can be pitched even before it's approved! Log in to your TuneCore Dashboard, head to your discography, select the release you want to pitch, and scroll down to the Pitch This Release section.
Please note: We recommend you upload and pitch your release at least 4 weeks before your release date. This accounts for the time it takes to review submissions!
Why can't I pitch my release?
If you meet the eligibility criteria above, you most likely can't see the option to pitch your release because you have not completed a TuneCore Artist Profile for the release's primary artist!
You must create a TuneCore Artist Profile for all of the primary artists on a release before you'll be able to pitch it.
How do I create a TuneCore Artist Profile?
You can create a TuneCore Artist Profile by heading to Account Settings and then clicking the TuneCore Artist Profiles tab. Or, if you try to pitch a release and you choose an artist that doesn't have a TuneCore Artist Profile yet, you'll be prompted to create their TuneCore Artist Profile before you can pitch the release!
How do I edit my TuneCore Artist Profile?
You can view and edit all of your account's TuneCore Artist Profiles by going to Account Settings and then clicking the TuneCore Artist Profiles tab. From this page, you can see a list of your artist profiles and their completion status, as well as the option to edit them.
Connecting social media profiles to a TuneCore Artist Profile
If the person creating the TuneCore Artist Profile does not have access to the artist’s social media accounts, you have the option to send an email to the artist. The artist can follow the link in the email to enter their social media login credentials, and the TuneCore Artist Profile form will automatically be updated.
Am I guaranteed playlist placement if I pitch my release?
Although we’ll review all submissions to our Artist Pitch Forms, due to the high volume of submissions we can’t promise that yours will be chosen to be featured, nor can we provide specific feedback on why.
