There are different ways to earn money from your compositions. Some of the royalties you earn from your compositions are at statutory or industry-agreed rates such as mechanicals, while others are negotiable, such as synchronization fees.
The different types of uses that can earn you royalties are:
• Mechanicals - Digital Downloads, Streaming Services and Physical Products (CD's, Vinyl, etc) & Ringtones
• Public Performance & Broadcast Fees - Streaming Services, Radio, TV performances, Live Performance and a performing rights share of Downloads and Ringtones in some territories
• Synchronization - TV, Film, Commercials, Video Games etc.
• Print - Songbooks, Sheet Music Physical and Online (digital) versions
