The following information is regarding TuneCore's Publishing Administration service
A Letter of Direction or "LOD" is a formal notice sent to collection societies and other income sources to let them know TuneCore is taking over the administration of your catalogue/songs. The LOD summarizes the administration agreement that you have agreed to and authorizes us to start collecting money on your behalf. Do not worry, an LOD does not grant TuneCore ownership of your compositions.
An LOD is only required for customers who have an existing publishing entity for which TuneCore is taking over administration.
Upon registration, you will be asked to sign an LOD electronically if you indicate you have a publishing company affiliated with a Performing Rights Organization. By signing this you grant TuneCore administrative rights for your publishing entity and the ability to collect on your behalf.
