You can change the selling price of your release, but only in Amazon and iTunes.
Amazon Music and Amazon On Demand
You can set the wholesale price tier yourself while you are creating your release in TuneCore. (It shows when you select stores for distribution).
For iTunes, you can change the price for you AFTER you've distributed your music through TuneCore. Please fill out the form via the link below after you release your music.
When you change the price, it affects all iTunes Stores Worldwide. iTunes has its own exchange rate, exchanged from USD.
When you distribute your music through TuneCore:
- Albums are automatically priced in iTunes according to the following formula:
Total number of songs x (times) $0.99 USD = price of album
- If an album has more than 10 songs, the price will automatically be $9.99 USD
- If a track is 10 minutes or longer (regardless of the total number of tracks), the price of the release will default to $9.99 USD.
- Singles are automatically priced in iTunes at $0.99 USD [unless the song is 10 minutes or longer, in which case it will be priced as an album ($9.99 USD)]
To change the price of your album or single in iTunes, please submit the form below. All prices are in USD.
Album price changes can take 1-3 business days. Track-level price changes are updated every Friday within iTunes’ system. All track pricing requests need to be submitted no later than the Tuesday before the Friday you wish the change to take effect.
