In order for your track titles to show in iTunes when you pop your CD into your computer, you need to register your songs with Gracenote when you manufacture your CDs. You can either do this manually (instructions below) or by picking Gracenote as one of your stores when you upload your release in your TuneCore account.
Until you've submitted your songs to Gracenote and they're in their database, your CD track titles will show in iTunes as "Track 01," "Track 02" and so on.
Follow these steps to submit your music to the Gracenote database:
- Open the iTunes store application on your computer.
- Insert your CD, but do not import it to your computer.
- If you haven't already, fill out all album information (album name, artist name, album genre, track names, etc.).
- Once you've done this, highlight all tracks. Then go to the "advanced" drop down menu and select "submit CD track names." This will send your data to Gracenote.
-
Within 24-48 hours, your track names should load when you put your CD into any computer.
Please note: Gracenote unfortunately does not store album artwork. That is handled by another online database called All Music Guide. We are not affiliated with them and therefore cannot directly submit content to them for consideration. If you have any issues submitting to either Gracenote or All Music Guide you will need to contact them directly.
